Level Crossing Updrade Moore St, Beckom 10th - 17th August 2021

Improving the Country Regional Network

Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) is upgrading the level crossing on Moore St, Beckom as part of the NSW Government’s rail infrastructure program across the Country Regional Network.

Works are being completed by TfNSW’s contractor, John Holland. John Holland operate and maintain the Country Regional Network across NSW under a ten-year contract with TfNSW.

Why is the work being completed?

These works are being undertaken to remove and replace deteriorated elements of the existing level crossing and ensure continued safe access for the community.


When will work commence?

Works are currently scheduled to be completed from Tuesday 10 August to Tuesday 17 August 2021, subject to final approvals and weather conditions.

Site operations will run as follows:

10 – 12 Aug: 6.00am to 6.00pm

13 – 14 Aug: 24-hour works from 6.00am on Friday 13 August to 6.00pm on Saturday 14 August

15 – 17 Aug: 6.00am to 6.00pm

Please note, site operation times and level crossing closure times vary.

How will I be affected?

The Moore St Level Crossing (marked on the following page) will be closed to all traffic from 6.00am on Thursday 12 August to 6.00pm on Tuesday 17 August 2021.

During this time, a temporary detour road will be in place as per the map on the following page.

VMS boards will be posted on the approach to the works, outlining changes to traffic. There is potential for noise and dust from the work.

We will endeavour to minimise disruptions to local traffic and business as best and as feasibly possible.
