SEWER TREATMENT WORKS OPERATOR

FULL TIME

Coolamon Shire Council is seeking a full-time Sewer Treatment Works Operator to join our team. Based in Coolamon, NSW 2701, this role is responsible for the maintenance and operations of Council’s Sewer treatment works and associated pump stations and to ensure no adverse environmental impacts occur as a result of the treatment works operations.

What you'll be doing

·         Ardlethan, Coolamon & Ganmain - Sewage Treatment Works & Reticulation Maintenance.

·         Develop, implement and monitor building and facilities maintenance and service programs to ensure objectives are met.

·         Facilities/grounds maintenance at all Sewer and pump station sites.

·         Troubleshoot and report malfunctions and/or breakdowns.

·         Liaise with relevant contractors and suppliers.

·         Regular effluent testing and reporting as per NSW Government regulations.

·         Ensure all safe work practices are implemented and practiced.

·         Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

This position will have appropriate access to a Council vehicle and mobile telephone in order to carry out the requirements of the position and the pay range is $1,155.40 to $1,317.18 per week plus allowances and approved overtime.
