Riverina Regional Library (RRL) is based in Wagga Wagga and provides centralised library services to 21 libraries in 11 Council areas, as well as a Mobile Library that visits 18 communities.

Trainee Library Assistant (24 Months, Full Time)

As our Trainee Library Assistant, you will gain experience and develop skills in all areas of library service provision, including customer service, in-branch programs, ICT system support, stock processing, and much more! Generally, you will work from the RRL Administration Centre in Wagga Wagga. However, you will also get to visit some of our fantastic branch libraries to build skills in circulation, reader’s advisory, and collection maintenance.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has an interest in libraries but is unsure about what career path may suit them best, all the while working towards a qualification in the industry. Time during work hours is provided to support you to complete your studies.

The position offers a weekly salary in the range of $584.20 to $920.10 (35 hours).
