Council Supports Events through Annual Funding Program

Coolamon Shire Council is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2025 Annual Event Funding Program, with eight events across the Shire receiving support.

Each year, Council allocates $10,000 to assist local events that bring community members together, attract visitors and showcase the Shire. Event organisers can apply for up to $3,000 to support them with marketing and promotion.

The 2025 program has supported the following events:

  • Coolamon Pool Splash Party

  • Matong Swap Meet

  • Ganmain Historical Society Open Day

  • The Country Makers Markets

  • Ardlethan Art Prize

  • Ardlethan Show

  • Coolamon Fire Engine Muster

  • Up2Date Art Exhibition

Mayor David McCann OAM, said the program continues to play an important role in helping local events grow and thrive.

“It’s fantastic to see such a strong mix of events receiving support through this year’s program. These events bring people together, showcase local creativity and provide a real boost to our local economy through increased spending and tourism. They’re an important part of what keeps our Shire vibrant and connected.”

Applications for the 2026 Event Funding Program will open in November 2025.
