Apply for a Swimming Pool Certificate of Compliance
A Swimming Pool Compliance Certificate confirms that your pool meets the safety requirements under NSW legislation.
Certificates are valid for three years, unless changes are made to the pool area that affect compliance.
When you need a certificate
You must have a valid Compliance Certificate if you are:
Selling a property with a swimming pool or spa, or
Leasing a property with a swimming pool or spa.
How to apply
Submit an application to Coolamon Shire Council.
Book an inspection – a Council officer will inspect your pool barriers, gates and access points.
Receive the outcome – if compliant, a certificate will be issued. If issues are found, Council will provide written advice and a re-inspection will be required once they are fixed.
Important to know
All pools and spas must also be registered on the NSW Swimming Pool Register.
Non-compliant pools must be upgraded to meet current Australian Standards.
Fees apply for inspections and re-inspections.
