PLANT OPERATOR - RESERVE GRADER OPERATOR

Coolamon Shire Council is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and motivated people for the position of Plant Operator/Reserve Grader Operator.

This role will assist with the construction and maintenance of Councils infrastructure including roads, footpaths, drainage and recreational assets.

All employees of Council are required to undertake a pre-employment medical which will include drug and alcohol, audiometry and physical factors.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR;

Essential requirements

  • Current OH&S Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)

  • Current Class C Unrestricted Licence (HS desirable)

Desirable requirements

  • Traffic Controllers Certificate (Implement Traffic Control Plans)

  • Demonstrated competence in road construction and/or maintenance

  • Experience operating large plant and equipment

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

  • A sound understanding of safety and risk assessment on worksites

The salary range for this position is in accordance with Council’s Salary System - Band 1, Level 3 A to 3 H, $28.29 - $32.02 p/h dependent on qualifications and experience.
