RRL MOBILE LIBRARY OPERATOR

ABOUT THE ROLE

Coolamon Shire Council is seeking a reliable, organised and customer-focused individual to coordinate the Riverina Regional Library (RRL) Mobile Library service.

This hands-on role is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and operation of the Mobile Library, ensuring the delivery of efficient and reliable services to participating Councils and their communities. You will oversee the operation and maintenance of the Mobile Library vehicle, manage library stock and circulation, coordinate relief staff and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the service.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, has experience operating heavy vehicles and is passionate about providing quality customer service and connecting regional communities with library services.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Current Heavy Combination (HC) Driver's Licence.

  • Current NSW Working With Children Check Clearance.

  • Demonstrated experience relevant to the role, including operating and maintaining a heavy articulated vehicle.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver quality customer service, contribute to service improvements and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Experience using computer applications, including Microsoft Office and other relevant software packages.

  • Strong time management, planning and organisational skills.

  • Sound written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity and Work Health and Safety requirements, including the ability to undertake risk assessments relevant to work activities and tasks.
