Regional Drought Resilience Plan - Action Item

The Regional Drought Resilience Planning Program supports regional communities to better prepare for and respond to the impacts of drought and other natural events.

The Regional Drought Resilience Plan for the Coolamon and Junee Shire Consortium was developed in February 2024 and focuses on building stronger, more resilient communities through planning, preparation and long-term action. While drought and flood are part of the Australian landscape, the impacts on our environment, communities and local economy can be significant.

The plan captures feedback and ideas gathered through community conversations, local knowledge, existing policies and planning documents. Actions and initiatives were identified across five key themes to help guide future planning and investment.

Jointly funded by the Australian Government and the NSW Government under the Future Drought Fund.
