PLANT OPERATOR & HC TRUCK DRIVER - CASUAL
Coolamon Shire Council are currently seeking applications for both a suitably qualified Casual Plant Operator & HC Truck Driver within our Engineering and Technical Services team.
These two roles assist in the construction and maintenance of Council’s infrastructure, including roads, footpaths, drainage and recreational assets.
All employees of Council are required to undertake a pre-employment medical, which includes drug and alcohol testing, audiometry and physical assessments.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Essential requirements - HC Truck Driver
Current WH&S Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
Current HC Unrestricted Driver’s Licence
Essential requirements - Plant Operator
Current WH&S Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
Current HC, HR or C Unrestricted Driver’s Licence
Desirable requirements
Traffic Controllers Certificate – Implement Traffic Control Plans
Demonstrated competence in road construction and/or maintenance
Experience operating plant and small equipment such as loaders, backhoes, rollers, forklifts and compactors etc.
Effective communication and teamwork skills
A sound understanding of safety and risk assessment on worksites
The positions each attract an hourly rate of $29.4289 to $33.3039 (Band 1 – Level 3 A–H) + 25% casual loading, with the commencing rate determined by the successful applicant's experience and licensing.
